In one of the cloisters of Monte Oliveto is proudly displayed the beautiful bloom of a beautiful hydrangea, which, like the other flowers on the parent company, has always been lovingly attended to by our novices. The beautiful crown of white petals decorating the green leaves seems to really encourage us to hope, after a harsh winter and so little merciful Lord knows how to derive the life and beauty beyond our expectations. And we know instead meet the expectations of holiness that God has for us, white monks of Santa Maria di Monte Oliveto? We will know we really flourish in loyalty, good and true in the light that Christ, the true Sun, so generously bestowed every day?
